Launched in 2008, The Quai de l’Ile is Vacheron Constantin’s signature model to enter in the 21st century, keeping the Dna of the brand and bringing new ideas of what will be the high-end watchmaking in the future. The model introduced a new dimension in the world of Haute Horlogerie and the model was warmly welcome and appreciated by public and schlolars, shortly after its launch. The Quai de l’Ile is Vacheron Constantin historical address in Geneva, since the 19th century. The model bears proudly this name because all the tradition, innovation and exclusive approach to satisfy clients are concentrated in the model, as well as, in the reputed house.

The present model is an extremely fine, self-winding, water-resistant, center-seconds, palladium wristwatch with date. The model also features some new and very interesting elements of design and technology such as:

– a totally personalized model, with possibilities to choose the case material (three metals), bezel, flanks, the dials, the straps, the folding clasps, add engravings, to meet client’s wishes. This personalization is the symbol of uniqueness and savoir-faire. All together it’s offer the client a huge number of combinations.

– a semi-transparent sapphire crystal dial, that incorporates security printing technologies (four patents) such as: integrating secret texts, micro-printing, security inks and uv markings.

– a designed, developed and manufactured movement cal. 2460H that displays the date by means of a disc, stamped with the Seal of Geneva for its perfect finish.

all together, these lead to a modern, attractive and dynamic character in accordance with VC motto:  « Do better is possible, which is always possible ». This mint wristwatch comes with its user’s manual, certificate of origin, identity passport, original fitted presentation box and outer packaging,  an extra rubber strap, a loupe, polishing cloth and USB key. The watch also comes with an extra rubber strap and a palladium triple folding, double-safety clasp with half-Maltese-cross flap.

With its resolutely exclusive design, innovating construction, personalization, the model is the ultimate expression of modern luxury and high-end watchmaking. the present watch is numbered 97 of a limited edition of 100 pieces. The retail price was around 41’000.- CHF.
