A very fine, octagonal, water-resistant, automatic, stainless steel chronograph’s wristwatch with black dial, tapisserie decoration, 12-hour and 30-minute registers, date, screwed round button chronograph and crown, stainless steel bracelet with deployant clasp Accompanied by an AP extract from the archives and AP travelling box Fitted with a caliber 2385, mechanical, rhodium-plated, 37 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorbers, self-compensating flat balance spring, gold rotor, self-winding, column-wheel chronograph mechanism Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 39 mm. Thickness 11 mm. Approx. overall length 180 mm. Launched in 1997 and produced till 2012, the model became a collector when first seen of the wrist of the brilliant chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov, world champion from 1985 to 2000, was then quickly nicknamed « AP Kasparov » by amateurs.
