Omega, Pre-Series 176.001 Prototype, case no. 15, circa 1970 A rare and unusual, probably unique, pre-series prototype, automatic, stainless steel cushion-shaped chronograph wristwatch with silvered dial, date and 24-hour indications, central 60-minute register, 12-hour register at 6 and constant second at 9. Fitted with a caliber 1040, copper coloured, shock absorbers Rotor signed Omega, lugs engraved underneath “15” and “M.Piguet”. Dim. 38.20 x 42.30 mm. Thickness 15 mm. The Heritage Department of Omega has confirmed by email, that the present watch, bearing number 15, is probably a pre-series prototype. However, being an early prototype it is not registered in firm's Archives and consequently no Extract from the Archives will be issued for this watch.
