A very fine and unusual, round-shaped, extra-thin, hand wound, antimagnetic, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with brushed champagne dial, painted quarter Roman numerals, baton indexes, gold baton hands, inner minute track, Vendome type lugs, leather strap and 18K yellow gold Piaget buckle.

Fitted with a Cal. 9P2 (Piaget), extra thin, mechanical, manual winding, rhodium-plated, 18 jewels, antimagnetic with gold escape wheel and fork, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorbers, snap on gold case back, sapphire crystal.

Dial signed Van Cleef & Arpels, movement, inside case back and buckle signed Piaget.
Diam. 30 mm. Thickness 4.50 mm.


Many vintage watches from the Van Cleef & Arpels brand were manufactured by Piaget. The movements and cases were produced by Piaget, as in the watch shown here, and then sold retail by Van Cleef & Arpels under its own name. Reference 9065 is one of these early collaborations, combining Piaget's heritage and expertise with VCA's design and aura.
