Iconeek is proud to introduce here a superb and attractive, water-resistant, tonneau-shaped, stainless steel chronometer’s wristwatch with gloss black dial, luminous hands, GMT-hand for the second time zone, bi-directional revolving black and red bezel, stainless steel Oyster bracelet with deployant clasp, the Rolex Gmt-Master II Ref. 16710.
In production from 1989 to 2007, the Rolex GMT-Master II, Ref. 16710 replaced the former Ref. 16700. The model, Ref. 16710, was released with three different types of bezel inserts: red/blue (Pepsi), red/black (Coca-Cola) such as the present watch, and black (Coke). Produced for 18 years, the reference has continued to evolve over time, the first examples being equipped with luminous Tritium-coated indexes and hands (until 1997), then Luminova (1998-1999) and finally SuperLuminova (2000-2007). The model is featuring an upgraded caliber 3185 fitted in a slimmer case than the previous ref. 16700, a change much welcomed by collectors at the time.
The present watch is offered in excellent overall condition and features an elegant and sought-after black/red bezel insert from circa 2005 with Super-LumiNova luminescent material. Dial, case and movement are signed.
