Iconeek is proud to introduce here a 2012 mint and complete stainless steel and 18K pink gold automatic wristwatch by Cartier: The Santos 100. Louis Cartier created the Santos watch in 1904, sealing his friendship with the aviator of the same name. The famous aviator’s wish was granted: he could check the time while flying. The rounded angles and exposed screws of the dial made this an iconic timepiece. Cartier marked the centenary of the watch with a new version. The Santos 100 is an improved version of 1980s version. The case is now larger, the bracelet is secured by screwed bars instead of pins, the deployant clasp is secured, the dial layout is more modern with large numerals. While the 1980s Santos were set with a two-body case, the improved version has a three part case.

The Santos 100 is a large self-winding wristwatch with sweep center seconds. Water-resistant to 100m,  the square curved stainless steel case is set with a polished gold bezel secured by screws, a case back secured by 8 screws, an octogonal cabochon-set winding crown and a sapphire crystal glass. The silvered opaline dial is set with large painted black radial Roman numerals, an inner minute division, the Cartier secret signature at 7, luminous blued steel sword hands. The watch comes with an unworn red leather strap Cartier with fitted 18K gold and steel Cartier deployant clasp. Dial, case and movement are signed.
