ICONEEK is proud to introduce here a very fine and unusual, full-set, rectangular curved, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch by Cartier: the Tank à vis, Ref. 2484E.

The Tank à Vis was introduced in 2001, belonging to the prestigious CPCP (Collection Privée Cartier Paris) collection, in four variations: a time-only model, such as the present watch, with mechanical caliber, a skeleton model in white gold, a two-time zone watch with two full displays, and a regulator type dial with wondering hour and date. When Cartier launched this Tank à Vis model, it was based on the water-resistant Tank watch created in 1931, which at the time was the first water-resistant rectangular watch on the market, according to the company.

The model has a three-body construction: an 18K yellow gold polished and brushed rectangular tank-shaped case, bezel adorned with four screws, secured to the main case by four screws underneath the case back, straight lugs with screwed gold bars to secured the strap, gold hexagonal cabochon-set winding crown, gold case back secured by 8 gold screws, sapphire crystal. The model comes with a silvery guilloche dial, with Cartier secret signature at 7, blued steel Spade hands, inner minute track, painted black radial Roman numerals. The model is powered by a caliber 437MC, manufacture, mechanical, hand wound, rhodium-plated, special Cartier decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, shock absorbers, monometallic 3-arm balance, self-compensating flat balance spring. Dial, case and movement are signed. The present watch comes a leather strap and an 18K yellow gold Cartier deployant clasp. The size between the lugs is 18 mm.
