Iconeek is proud to introduce here a mint and complete Omega De Ville model, in fact the rare and highly attractive, early, limited edition in white gold, fitted with a Co-axial escapement. The co-axial escapement is a straight line lever escapement, modified with an additionnal wheel on the escape wheel and a third pallet on the fork, in order to have the impulse directly given to the balance. The Co-axial escapement is “an advance detent escapement” or “a direct impulse lever escapement”.

The 38mm diameter 18K white gold case is  water-resistant to 100m. The case has large fluted downturned lugs, a crown protection, a stepped bezel, solid screwed case back embossed with the DeVille Logo. Under the sapphire crystal, a superb  “pie pan” faceted silvered dial fitted with applied white gold Roman numeral quarter-hour markers, applied gold luminous faceted indexes, an outer minute and seconde division, a sweep center second, luminous white gold Feuille hands and an aperture for the gold rimmed date.

Under the screw down case back, we find a mechanical, self-winding Omega caliber 2500 movement, well protected under an antimagnetic iron cover. Rhodium-plated, this caliber is set with a co-axial escapement, a free-sprung monometallic balance, adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions with two regulating micro-screws, shock absorber and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The movement is certified chronometer and has a hack mechanism.

Very first edition of the caliber 2500 movement, together with the English watchmaker Sir George Daniel`s co-axial escapement, the present watch is part a limited edition of 1000 pieces in white gold,  introduced in 2000 at the Basel, shortly after the official launch in 1999.  the retail price in 2006-2007 was approx. 12’400.- CHF

The original guarantee is tamped June 2000. Dial, case and movement are signed. This superb wristwatch comes with a mint Omega leather strap and fitted 18K white gold Omega deployant clasp. The model is described and illustrated in Omega, Voyage à travers le temps, by Marco Richon, page 431.

A collector ! hardly impossible to find in such unworn condition.
