Military with cal. 27CHRO
OMEGA, MILITARY STEEL CHRONOGRAPH, CAL. 27CHRO
ICONEEK price: SOLD
Iconeek is proud to introduce here a very attractive vintage chronograph by Omega. Produced around 1943, the model has a two-body water-resistant construction: a steel tonneau-shaped case with downturned lugs, round chronograph pushers, a screwed case back engraved inside « 430 acier inoxydable 174 ». The size between the lugs is 18 mm.
Under the domed hesalite crystal, we find a nice and unusual military-style anthracite color dial with painted luminous Arabic numerals, railway minute and second division, luminous Baton hands, three subsidiary guilloche dials for the constant second at 9, the 12-hour register at 6, the 30-minute register at 3.
Under the screwed case back, we discover an Omega caliber 27CHR C12, rhodium-plated, mechanical, manual winding, 17 jewels, index regulator, monometallic balance with timing screws, self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring, column-wheel mechanism. Cal. 27 CHRO C12 was launched in 1942. In 1946, the caliber was updated and renamed Cal. 321. Dial, case and movement are signed.
Perfect for those are looking for a military watch with patina!
Condition: 8.5/10, very good overall condition, for both movement and case, some discoloration and lost around the indexes, as well as between 1 and 2 o’clock.
