OMEGA, SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL, PRE MOON, REF. 145.022-68 ST

Iconeek is proud to introduce here a nice and attractive Pre Moon Omega Speedmaster Ref. 145.022-68 ST.

Only produced during a short period, between the end of 1968 and 1969, Ref. 145.022-68 ST is considered as a transitional model by collectors because of the used of the new caliber 861, instead of the famous 321, but still retaining the Omega applied logo dial (found of Ref. 145.012). According to the Omega Extract of the Archives, the present was produced in February 18th, 1969 and delivered to Denmark.

The model comes with a three-body construction: a large tonneau-shaped steel case with twisted lugs, wide and tall round chronograph buttons, a snap-on steel bezel with black tachymeter scale, a simple bevel screwed case back engraved with the Speedmaster logo. The size between the lugs is 20 mm. 

Under the hesalite crystal, we find a matte black stepped dial, with steel Omega applied logo, three subsidiary registers for the 30-minute register at 3, the 12-hour register at 6, the constant second at 9, luminous white Baton hands, signed « T SWISS MADE T » at the bottom.  Inside ticks a caliber Omega 861, copper colored, mechanical, hand wound, 17 jewels,  straight line lever escapement, monometallic four-arm balance, self-compensating flat blued steel balance spring, shock-absorbers, with the correct steel brake for chronograph, all protected by a metal dust cap. Dial, case and movement are signed.

Condition: 8.5/10, in very good overall condition, the bezel is later original (1995-2004), in working condition
