Iconeek is very proud to introduce here a superb and highly attractive white gold split seconds chronograph by Parmigiani Fleurier, in fact a unique piece. Under Ref. C03861, the model name is Toric RTP, which stands for Rattrapante in french. This extremely fine water-resistant 18K white gold wristwatch with oval and co-axial button split-seconds chronograph and tachometer, was made in 2000 as a unique piece, with an unique configuration dial.

The model has a three-body construction: a solid heavy polished 18K white gold round shaped case with massive straight curved lugs, sapphire crystals, olive-shaped chronograph pushers, at 2 for start/stop of the chronograph, at 4 for rejoin, co-axial button in the crown for the split-seconds, a snap on stepped and reeded bezel,  a snap on transparent gold case back engraved on the edge « Piece Unique, no. 4560, Parmigiani Fleurier Rattrapante ». Under the sapphire glass, a superb, pure and elegant off-white dial with applied white gold Roman numerals at 12 and 6, an outer 1/5th second and minute division, an outermost tachymeter scale, white gold spear hands, blued steel chronograph hands, two subsidiary dials for the 30-minute register at 3 and the constant second at 9. Under the snap on transparent case back, we find a mint condition caliber 14’’’ 27001, mechanical, hand wound, 29 jewels,  rhodium plated, column-wheel split second chronograph, manual winding, straight line lever escapement, self-compensating blued steel Breguet-type balance spring with Phillips terminal curved, monometallic balance with timing screws, adjusted 5 positions, shock absorbers, index regulator. Dial, case and movement are signed. The present watch comes with an 18K white gold Parmigiani deployant clasp. The size between the lugs is 20 mm.

Considered as one of watchmaking’s most difficult and coveted complications, the split second chronograph, is an absolutely stunning watch on every levels, especially when produced by one of the most respected manufacturers.
