Iconeek is very proud to introduce here a superb Patek Philippe wristwatch, no more in production, the Ref. 5054. The model is a very fine and elegant 18k yellow gold half-hunting cased, self-winding, Officier-type, wristwatch with power reserve indication, date and moon phases.
The model comes with a three body construction, a circular-shaped gold case with straight lugs and gold screwed bars to hold the bracelet, an hinged gold cover on the back, a snap on transparent case back, which allows to see the movement. Under the sapphire crystal, we find a mint matte white dial, with painted black radial Roman numerals, an outer railway minute division, Spade hands, a fan-form sector for the power reserve indication between the 10 and 11 o’clock, a date combined with phases of the moon at the 7 o’clock, an eccentric subsidiary seconds at 4 o’clock.
Visible through the snap transparent case back, the movement is a caliber Patek Philippe 240 PS IRM C LU, PS meaning Petite Seconde (small second), IRM meaning Indication Reserve de Marche (power reserve indication), C for Calendrier (date), LU for Lune (moon phases), beating at 21600 alt/hour, with 29 jewels, rhodium-plated, stamped with the Seal of Geneva, straight line lever escapement, free-sprung gyromax balance, 22K gold mini-rotor. Dial, case and movement are signed. The present watch comes with a Patek Philippe leather strap and an 18K yellow gold Officier-type PP buckle. The size between the lugs is 19 mm.
With its original fitted box, setting pin and Certificate of Origin, the present watch is furthermore accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 2003 and its subsequent sale on December 16th of the same year. Patek Philippe produced the reference 5054 from 1999 until approximately 2005 in yellow, white and pink gold as well as platinum. Reference 5054 is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by O. Patrizzi, vol. II, plate 1207, p. 293.
Trained eyes will recognised the « same « dial layout as the sporty Nautilus Ref. 5712, due to the use of the same caliber.
Exquise, elegant, complicated, full-set, the present 5054 is per sure a nice addition to any collection, as well as a perfect useful daily watch.
