Iconeek is very proud to introduce here a mint, full-set, fresh to the market, white gold perpetual calendar wristwatch by Patek Philippe, the Ref. 5320G. The model is an extremely fine and attractive, water-resistant, automatic, white gold, Art deco vintage-style, perpetual calendar wristwatch with leap year, night and day indications, moon phases and sweep center second.

Introduced at Baselworld in 2017, Ref. 5320G-001 is a new self-winding perpetual calendar with a contemporary « vintage » style in a case with three-tier lugs as well as a lacquered cream dial graced with luminous numerals and hands. Because it has been almost 50 years since Patek Philippe presented a perpetual calendar with a central second hand and day of the week and month in windows, the model received a warm welcome from Patek Philippe collectors worldwide. It was THE 2017 PP’s noveltie to discover absolutely.

The timepiece was inspired by watches from the 1940s and 1950s in the Patek Philippe museum. In fact, Ref. 5320G pays tribute to three very important vintage, manual winding, Patek Philippe perpetual calendar models in the firm’s history. The overall dial layout of Ref. 5320 is inspired by Ref. 2438, with its day and month indications in windows, the sweep center second, and a date indication combined with the moon phases at 6. Ref. 5320 was also inspired by the famous Ref. 3450 with its inclined bezel, special pointed lugs and leap year indication inside a dot aperture, close to the moon phases. Trained eyes will notice the raised luminous blackened gold Arabic numerals and dot indexes that give the model a military-style dial, and a touch a modernity, all inspired by the iconic Ref. 1591, in steel with its luminous dial. Moreover, the model also takes inspiration from the chronometer ref. 2405 from the 1940’s, wizh its the three-tiered stepped lugs.

Ref. 5320 is fitted with a newly developed caliber 324 S Q, stamped with the PP Seal, with double apertures for day and month and an analog date, Gyromax balance, Spiromax balance spring, 21K gold rotor, entirely visible through the transparent case back.

Combining inspiration from its past greats with modernized aesthetics, paying homage to the great perpetual calendar timepieces from the mid-20th century, Ref. 5320 is well born. The model is without a doubt a highly desirable modern perpetual calendar wristwatch by Patek Philippe with strong recognition from its roots. A collector, an instant cult !
