Iconeek is very proud to introduce almost 260 gr. of pure pleasure, one of the most sough after actual sports watch: The Platinum Nautilus Ref. 5711/1P.

In 1976, Patek Philippe collaborated with Gerard Genta to create the ultimate sports watch. Seeking design inspiration, Patek Philippe appealed to robust nature, crisp lines and bold shape of the porthole found on maritime vessels. The Nautilus collection was subsequently born, with the very first model being reference 3700/1 in stainless steel. During this period, luxury sports watches were usually produced in gold, so reference 3700/1 in steel was a true anomaly in the watchmaking community. Reference 5711 was released in 2006. The updated version features a larger, 43 mm. wide dial and Patek's 324 SC movement. Years later, ref. 5711/1P in platinum was another ufo in the collection. From 2011 to 2015, Patek Philippe made 5711P in extremely limited quantities; it is said to have been reserved for only a handful of very lucky people.

Ref. 5711/1P was one of the most difficult Patek Philippe to get. Deliver only to PP best clients, only a handful examples were delivered each year. This heavy, superb and extremely rare, limited series, water-resistant, automatic platinum wristwatch with date and sweep center seconds comes with an heavy platinum bracelet. Made entirely of solid platinum, Ref. 5711/1P, the time only Nautilus, is one of the rarest contemporary Patek Philippe sport watches, all time.

This hefty model is set with a diamond on the bezel, as are all of Patek Philippe’s recent platinum watches (diamond is then located between the lugs). The platinum is distinctly whiter in tone than the steel version. Reference 5711 was released in 2006. The updated version features a larger dial and Patek’s 324 SC movement. Released in an ultra-limited series, the present watch is the most luxurious version of the original Ref. 3700/1A in stainless steel, along with the only-known vintage example Ref. 3700P. Another vintage Nautilus in platinum, jeweled this time, bearing the Ref. 3700/031P due to its diamond-set bezel and dial, came back onto the market.

Trained eyes will note that on this model, the manufacturer did not print “PATEK PHILIPPE” and “GENEVE” above the horizontal stripes, but instead created a sort of cartouche., compared with the regular Ref. 3700. This exceptional model also features a bright « royal blue » dial and a white gold rimmed date at 3, which did not exist on the steel version. The present watch further features a diamond on the watch case under 6 o'clock above the lugs, which is an indication and hallmark of platinum Patek Philippe watches. Dial, case and movement are signed.

Compared to the recent Nautilus Platinum anniversary, ref. 5711/1P-001, produced in a limited edition of 700 pieces, the present watch Ref. 5711/1P-010 is much more rarest. Trained eyes will also notice several differences such as: applied diamond-set indexes vs applied white gold luminous indexes, swiss made designation vs swiss only, blue sunburst dial vs royal blue dial, PP Seal of Quality vs Seal of Geneva (on the movement).

In superb overall condition, complete with all its accessories, from the first owner, the present platinum 5711 is one of the rarest contemporary Patek Philippe watches, as well as being one of the most sought-after of all Nautilus watches. Only one, ref. 5711/1P-001 appears on the market. The kind of watch that everyone has heard about but never got an opportunity to own!
