ICONEEK is proud to introduce here a very nice and attractive Rolex’s sport watch: The Explorer II. The present Explorer II was delivered to the actual owner back in 1993, and is fitted with a black gloss dial. The model is a fine, center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel chronometer’s wristwatch with date, special 24-hour bezel, independently adjustable special 12-hour hand and a Rolex stainless steel Oyster bracelet. The model replaced the famous Ref. 1655.

The model has a three-body construction: a large and robust  polished and brushed, water-resistant to 100m,  stainless steel oyster case with downturned lugs, Twinlock winding crown with protective horns, screwed case back, snap on brushed steel bezel with black Arabic numerals for the 24 hours. The inside back is engraved « 16570 ».

Under the sapphire crystal with magnifying lens, we find a  gloss dial with tritium-coated round, bâton and triangular indexes, an aperture for the date at 3, luminous steel Baton hands, red arrow hand is to indicate the diurnal and nocturnal hours according to the 24-hour graduated bezel. The 24-hour red central hand with triangular tip can be used to track day and night hours when read against the 24-hour bezel, or allow the wearer to set another timezone, like a dual-time watch.

Under the screwed case-back, we find a caliber Rolex 3185, rhodium-plated, mechanical with “oeil-de-perdrix” decoration, 31 jewels, certified chronometer, with straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with Microstella regulating screws, adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement are signed. The present watch comes with an stainless steel Oysterlock bracelet, the approx. overall length is 185 mm. The size between the lus is 20 mm.
