Iconeek is proud to introduce here a mint large, rare and unusual Van Cleef & Arpels wristwatch bearing the UAE logo. Made upon special request for Cheikh Rachid ben Saïd Al Maktoum, Emir of Dubai from 1958 to 1990, this example was probably part of a small order of timepieces, often offer as gifts by the Emir. The dial « is featuring the Quraysh Hawk", symbol of the United Arab Emirates.

The model has a two-body construction: round gold case with flat round sapphire crystal on top and Vendôme type lugs, a snap case back, engraved in its  center with the raised logo of VCA. Under the glass, we find a cream color dial with painted black Baton indexes and Roman 6,9,12 numerals, an aperture for the date at 3, gold Baton hands, an inner minute track. The watch is powered by a quartz caliber, based Eta. The battery is new. The present watch comes with a leather strap and original steel and gold Van Cleef double deployant clasp. The approx. overall length is 185 mm. Dial, case and movement are signed.
